Wendys

My house is pretty much surrounded by so many different fast food places. Wendy’s was one I never really went to until I saw the movie Mr. Deeds with Adam Sandler and the guy who played Sandy Cohen in The OC. If my memory serves me correctly, Sandler’s character gets into a private jet with these rich guys (one of them was the Sandy Cohen guy) who are trying to get money he’s supposed to inherit? For lunch they went to Wendy’s and the rich guys had a Frosty for the first time and Sandler shows them how to dip their fries into it.

Here’s the scene in the movie:

Ever since, I’ve been a big fan of Wendy’s and also dipping fries into Frosties. I basically copied this with soft serve ice cream in my college cafeteria years ago. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! There’s nothing like mixing he sugar sweetness of the ice cream with the salt in the fries.

When I go to Wendy’s, I generally stick with burgers here. I’d go with the various combo meals of a burger, order of fries, and a drink. Once in a while, I’d get a Frosty. I tend to keep my orders very basic here. Oh and let’s not forget…I LOVE orders with bacon at Wendy’s.

Wendys BaconatorFor a Carbicide Saturday meal, anything with bacon such as the mouth-watering Baconator burger is ideal. Or I’d go for a meat-filled triple or quadruple stacked cheeseburger. YUM!

As for eating healthy at Wendy’s, they do have salads there but I don’t believe I’ve ever purchased a salad there, so I can’t really comment on them from experience. I guess you could say that Wendy’s is where I go when I definitely want to binge.

Even though I frequent McDonald’s more often for late night meals after a night out downtown, I actually intend to hit up Wendy’s first. However, by the time I get to the drive through window, Wendy’s is already closed, so I simply drive a bit further down that same street to hit up McDonald’s.
